A gentle flutter of wings.

In this workshop, we start with paper to create the figure of a bird and develop a mechanism that allows us to set it in motion, giving it a flutter of wings. This movement, through the dexterity of our hands and the mystery of puppet theater, challenges us to place these figures within the space.
They fly from one place to another, in nosedives or low-level flights, in gentle glides, or they build their nests. The little birds, which are born and transformed in a collective act, gather in flocks that travel.
These are the great migrations of metaphors transformed into puppets, which, from our imagination, gain a name, life, and movement.

Puppets, while often associated with childhood, are deeply woven into our collective imagination, history, and tradition. This art form offers an inexhaustible wealth of theatrical experiences, constantly renewing itself through innovative creation and manipulation on the modern stage.
It is essential for educators to equip themselves with the specialized knowledge needed to facilitate these experiences. By exploring diverse materials and construction techniques, teachers can provide students with the tools to develop original creative work, transforming the classroom into a laboratory for theatrical discovery and artistic expression.
